Orders By Phone

When placing an order please have the following information ready for our operators to ensure prompt
service: Customer number, credit card number, product and
quantity. Please state the Items as they appear in our catalog then the quantity that you desire. This will speed up your order.
All orders are checked for accuracy.
Orders are processed in the order received. This is done to ensure fairness to everyone.
Any changes to an order after being picked and packed will be subject to a 5% service fee for data entry and repacking.
Ordering By Mail
When placing your order by mail, please be sure to include all information including your customer number, which is located on the mailing label above your name.
All orders go out Money Order, Cashier's Check, Visa, Mastercard or Discover, unless other arrangements have been made. There is a waiting period when using personal checks to prepay please allow appropriate time for approval.
First Order
Your first order will be shipped COD Money Order or Cashier's Check unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Returned Checks
There will be a $30.00 charge for any returned check.
Return Policy

Most items are warranted against manufacturers defects only. They are not warranted for wear or breakage under any other circumstances such as misuse of the item. Your warranty information should be inside the individual packages. If you have any questions about the warranty of any item, please contact us.

Any item which, in our opinion, shows evidence of being used or subjected to improper handling, packaging, or shipping by the customer will not be eligible for exchange, refund, or warranty consideration. National Knife Distributors, Inc. reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee or refuse any exceptions.

All returns must be sent prepaid - no collect shipments will be accepted. Insure the returned item for its full value to protect yourself against loss.

We strongly suggest you ship by United Parcel Ground Service (UPS) or US Mail.

National Knife Distributor's, Inc. liability for losses or damages, arising out of any cause whatsoever, is limited to full refund of the purchase price, or at our option, repair or replacement of the part(s). National Knife
Distributor's, Inc. shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages.

If you are not satisfied with the products or our service, we'll refund your money - no ifs, ands or buts. Just return any new or unused item within 90 days of the shipping date and we'll refund the purchase
price*. Before you return your merchandise, you will need to call our operator and get a return authorization number. The number must be on the outside of the package. If the package does not have a return authorization number, it will be refused.

We cannot accept returns on special ordered items.
*Shipping charges are not refundable.
Note: Due to increased UPS cost we are no longer offering UPS Call Tag service.
Credit Card Information
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. There will be a 3% handling fee on all Credit Card sales and returns.
UPS/US Mail Shipping
All orders are shipped UPS (United Parcel Service) directly from our warehouse unless Post Office shipping is requested. UPS will not deliver to a post office box. Please include route or street address.
Our shipping charges are based on actual UPS rates. We do not charge over and above their charges. These are based on the actual weight of the package and the zone where it is being shipped.
Insurance is $0.35 for every $100 merchandise value and will automatically be added to each order.
COD is $7.50 plus shipping and is added to each COD order. When a COD order is refused, the customer will be billed for the COD, Shipping and a 15% restocking fee.
If you wish to have your package shipped other than UPS please notify the operator or include written instructions with your order.
If you need your order faster than regular UPS Ground shipments we offer the following options with additional UPS rate charges:
The following options are guaranteed only if your order is placed by 2:00 pm ET:

Next Day Air will be delivered by the next business day.

2nd Day Air will be delivered within two working days.

UPS 3 Day Select will be delivered within 3 working days.

UPS Saturday Delivery will be delivered on Saturday by 4:00 pm. There is an additional $10.00 per package charge for this service over UPS Next Day Air shipping fees! UPS makes one attempt to deliver on Saturday; some areas are not covered - call us for details.
Free Freight on $1000.00 orders. If you are a COD customer you will have to pay the COD charge of $6.00 per package. If you wish for your order to be shipped Next Day, Second Day, 3 Day Select or Saturday delivery, you will have to pay for the extra costs.
No automatics can be shipped through US Mail under any circumstances!
Account Information
If you wish to have your order shipped net on receipt, you will need to request a credit application. Once this is filled out and returned to us, you will be considered for approval for one of these accounts.
Payment
When making a payment, please include your customer number and invoice number with your payment. Please pay from the packing list received with your order.
Special Order Items must be prepaid.
We cannot accept returns on special ordered items.
International Orders
The minimum for International orders is $500.00.
When making your order please have substitutes listed so that we can fill your order quickly in case we have shortages on your first items. Please specify your preferred shipping method.
Our policy requires payment in advance for all international orders unless previous arrangements have been made. Payment may be made by bank cashiers check, money order, Visa,
MasterCard, Discover, or wire transfer on a United States bank and in United States funds. If sending a direct bank wire, the bank will charge you an additional fee for the use of this service which is not included in our totals. Please make sure to include this amount with your remittance.
When paying with credit card there is a 3% handling fee.
Pick ups
Please fax or call your order in before 4:00 pm Monday through Friday with the time that you are going to pick up so that we can process your order and have it out front for you. If you call or fax in after 4:00 pm we can not process your order until the next business day for pick up.
If you do not call in an order or fax one in, we can not guarantee that your order will be filled that day.
We must have your sales tax number on file. If we do not have your number, you will be charged Retail plus 6% North Carolina Sales Tax.
Back Orders
Any products that are on back order will be automatically shipped out as we receive it from the manufacturer. Please be aware of this when placing an order. Please specify if you do not wish to have items on back order.
Drop Shipment
There will be a $5.00 charge for each package that is drop shipped from our warehouse.
Release, Assumption of Risk, and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement
By purchasing any item from National Knife Distributors, Inc. whether by mail or in person, the buyer warrants that he is in compliance with his local and state and federal laws and is legally able to purchase these items.
Our minimum order is $100.00. If the order does not meet the minimum, there will be a $5.00 service charge. For overseas orders, the minimum order is $500.00. |
